Monday Night Raw

Lots of good stuff last night on Raw. I'm really digging Muhammad Hassan. Say what you will about his character, but his delivery is just awesome. And damn does he get heat. Sure it's cheap heat, but if they use him correctly, that cheap heat can turn into money. What they need to do is just keep putting him over mid-card talent and start pushing his undefeated record until they find a good opponent for him. Hell, have him do a surprise jump to Smackdown and take out Kurt Angle. That could work.

I like seeing Shawn Michaels play the heel in Canada. I wish they'd drop the Bret Hart stuff, but it's almost a tradition to heckle HBK in Canada now, and he does such a good job that it's okay. His match with Christian was good and it also helped Edge gain more credibility against Michaels in their fued. I still wish Edge, Christian, and Tyson would realign with Trish and form a new stable. Christians is great and Trish would make a good mouthpiece for the group. Of course I wouldn't mind a piece of Trish either....

Trish gave a great interview, which just depresses me because they all but did away with a women's division, so her talent just goes to waste. Also, why have Kane come chokeslam her? That did nothing to get Kane over for the night.

And finally, as much as I hated the non-finish of the main event it was really funny to see Snitsky and Kane having a casual conversation in the middle of the table. I wonder who'll get fired for that little mishap.

In the end, it appears Raw is getting some sort of a sense of direction again, with the build for a HHH/Batista WMXXI match. Let's just hope they don't make it a three-way with Orton thrown in.

You antipatriot son of a... Why, if you're ever within three hundred miles of me...

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

I agree. Raw is going well. I'm still depressed that HHH is YET AGAIN champion. Here's my deal with it. HHH will NOT drop the title to Orton at Rumble, so why not have Orton win the title at NYRevolution, and then drop it back to HHH at the Rumble? Batista then turns on HHH in late Feb, early March, and it's gold. I don't get it. The one thing I never noticed till this week is how over Batista is. It's amazing... The guy has come a long ways in the past year. I'm glad for him.

I still think Edge deserves it more, but his time will come... Even though I don't really like Edge... Which makes that kind of odd.

Orton will NOT be in a triple threat, as he will be meeting the Undertaker in a Legend V. Legend Killer match. The build up to that should be good stuff.

Last, but not least, Kane and Gene talking was HYSTERICAL. No one should get fired for that... They're finally getting the comedy RIGHT!
