Day off

I took the day off to screw around. So I go to the driving range (in the 100 degree weather) and almost die. Not literally, just in the golfing sense. Why is it that the first fifteen balls are just awesome, and then the next fifteen are so horrible. By horrible, I mean 1) Not hitting the ball at all and 2) When I do hit it, it goes five feet, off to the left, and sometimes backwards.

Actually, I know the reason. You're arm gets tired half way through. Oh, well. It's still a lot of fun to go out there and get a can of beer and hit away.

On the frustrating side, I'm at the end of Gothic II: Night of the Raven and I can't beat the final dragon. I finally (barely) beat him today. Pretty cool. I had over 400 bolts for my crossbow and had him almost beat, then ran out of arrows. Yes you have to shoot the guy 400+ times. So I pull out a magic crossbow that only has 10 arrows. Miss... miss... miss... finally I hit him a few times and killed him with the LAST one. After all the coffee, my heart is pounding and I'm finally going to finish this games that took almost 130 hours to complete. They start the cinema, and ........ wait for it...... my stupid computer crashes! Grrrrr.

Sometimes, there's just no love.
