Curt Hennig "Mr. Perfect" to be inducted into WWE hall of fame
Of all the people to die of "pro-wrestling premature death syndrome (pwpds)," Curt Hennig's was the saddest to me. He was always one of the best and to this day no one outside of The Mountie had a better theme song. The best match I've ever seen live was at a house show in Lincoln, NE where Mr. Perfect and Bret Hart went to a 30-minute time limit. Great (no... Perfect) stuff.
Anyhow, it was announced that he would be inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame this year. That's great; he deserves it. However, I hope they limit their dead wrestler inductions to only one each year (the von Erich's can be the exception.) I also think it was a little tasteless to announce that they were inducting a wrestler who died way too young on the same day that another former ECW, WCW, and WWE wrestler (Mike Awesome) also died of pwpds without mentioning his passing.
UPDATE: It appears the Mike Awesome's body was found Saturday and that the death was an apparent suicide. Very sad.
