My latest column at Wrestling With Words is up. It's a look at a recent house show I attened in Lincoln.

Well not really. But last night we learned how to do the side thrust kick, which is known in the world of professional wrestling as the Super Kick, or Sweet Chin Music.
So watch out. If you're 3 feet tall or less and piss me off...kiai! You'll take one to the chin! Wednesday, April 02, 2008Shawn Michaels I Ain't
Still learning Shotokan Karate... yesterday, we practiced side snap kicks, which are the precursor for a side thrust kick (aka Sweet Chin Music). Needless to say, I'm still a little clumsy at this point.
But I didn't hurt anyone, including myself, so everything is great so far. I'm actually considering sticking with it after the six-week intro classes are done. Thursday, March 27, 2008Jabroni’s Corner: Looking at Wrestlemania XXIV

So I thought it's high time I started writing for a wrestling site again. Check out my triumphant return to the world of blood and spandex with the latest installment of Jabroni's Corner.
And while you're at it, check out the main site, Wrestling With Words. The site is in the early stages, but it's got some content and is already growing. Create an account, let some comments and let us know if you're interested in contributing as well. Jabroni’s Corner: The Sequel Wrestling With Words Tuesday, March 04, 2008Dinosaurs Coming
I am so much going to this.
Life size replicas of dinsosaurs will be roaming the Qwest Center from April 16th to April 20th. Tickets for the seven performances go on sale Friday February 22nd and can be purchased at the Qwest Center Box Office and range from $17-$71. The show is based on the British Broadcast Company television series and combines special effects with escapism, excitement and information. So here's the story...
I have a great game called Fire Pro Wrestling Returns I need to be able to download created characters from the Internet and load them into my PS2 so that I can do cool stuff like this, this, and this. It's a lot more complicated than you would think. First, you need to download the files. Then you need to transfer them to your PS2 memory card. It overwrites your current save, so you need to have another memory card to back it up to, and then transfer it to the original memory card. So after lying to my wife and saying that I was going to the gym after work, I bought a PS2 Action Replay Max with 16MB Memory The CD luckily loaded on my PS2. So people were having lots of trouble with that. It recognized the flash drive, but it couldn't see any data on it. I read that it is pretty common for drives that are 1 Gig or more. In fact, most sites recommend a flash drive with only 128 MB. None of the flash drives lying around my house or office, including our iPods are less than 1 Gig. So if anyone has a smaller one I could borrow and try out, let me know. If it works, I'll let you come over and play this, this, and this. I'm going to try a new workout that Rev from the Muscle and Fitness message board sent me a while back.
It's your basic 12-week program that starts off with full-body and then moves to a three day (push/pull/core) split. Should be fun getting back in the game. I'm tired of screwing around. Beginer_Workout_plan.doc Friday, January 11, 2008Studly

It's 12:45 AM as I write this, and maybe I've had one too many glasses of Scotch, but it would be wrong if I didn't do some "blogging" before bed. I'm moving to Omaha in the morning, so I just wanted to write down a few thoughts since it's my last night as a single guy.
By moving, I'll be leaving behind some of the best friends a guy could ever have, but I'll still be working in Lincoln for the time being, so we'll stay in touch I'm sure. I'm getting married on September 1. Hope God doesn't mind that I'm moving in a little early too much :) I'm actually a little sad. I've lived here since December 1999. Here's my current training split. It's based on a program from the Muscle & Fitness/November 2007 issue. I just finished the second week. So far, I'm really feeling the results and have increased my squats and bench by about 20 lbs each. The plan is to stick with this for twelve weeks and then see where I'm at after that.

I opened up my closet today and found a VHS full of Pink Floyd videos that I didn't know I had. Weird ones too, like an awesome cartoon video for "Welcome to the Machine" and the 'Stuff all that...' version of "Not Now John." I also found videos to stuff like "The Fletcher Memorial Home", "Brain Damage/Eclipse" and a pretty good historical documentary on the band.

I did a four mile race in my hometown yesterday and ended up with a medal (15th) and a 34 minute finish. It's down from the last couple of times I ran it, but there's some improvement from last month's 5k race.
Now I'm going to take a break from running and get back into lifting for a few months. Friday, October 06, 2006Wednesday, September 20, 2006More things to Boooooooo
